Critical Alerts are a new feature that allows urgent On Call Central notifications to make a sound even when your iPhone is silenced or a Focus mode, such as Do Not Disturb, is enabled.
If you no longer want On Call Central notifications to use Critical Alerts, you can disable this permission in your iPhone settings.
Turn Off Critical Alerts on Your iPhone
- Open the Settings app on your iPhone.
- Scroll down and select Apps.
- Find and select On Call Central.
- Select Notifications.
- Locate the Critical Alerts option.
- Toggle Critical Alerts off.
Turning off Critical Alerts does not turn off all On Call Central notifications. As long as Allow Notifications remains enabled, you can continue to receive standard app notifications according to your notification settings. However, these notifications will follow your iPhone’s normal sound, silent mode, and Focus settings.
If You Don’t See the Critical Alerts Option
If you do not see an option for Critical Alerts in your iPhone’s notification settings, try logging out of the On Call Central app and logging back in.
You may be prompted to choose whether you would like to allow Critical Alerts. Select Don’t Allow if you do not want to enable this feature.
If you continue to experience issues with Critical Alerts after changing your settings, please contact On Call Central Support. Let us know what model of iPhone you are using, your iOS version, and a brief description of what you are experiencing so we can assist you.
We hope this helps! Please let us know if you have any questions or if there is anything else we can help you with.
