If you are trying to add a new user to your On Call Central account, you may receive the following error:
“This email address is already in use by another account. Each user must have a unique email. Please enter a different email to continue.”
This usually means the person already has an On Call Central user profile that was removed or is in another associated account.
You do not need to use a different email address or create a second login. Instead, you can add their existing user profile to your account.
How to Add the Existing User
- Go to Settings in the On Call Central web portal.
- Select Manage Users.
- Click Show Disabled Users.
- Search for the user’s name or locate them in the list.
- Click + Add to Account next to their name.
- Verify that they have the appropriate permissions for this account.
- Click Save.
The user will now have access to both accounts and can continue using their existing username and password.
How Does the User Switch Between Accounts?
If a user has access to multiple On Call Central accounts, they can easily switch between them without logging out.
In the On Call Central app:
Go to the Settings tab, tap the name of the current account, and select the account you would like to access.
In the web portal:
Click the account name in the upper-left corner of the page and select the account you would like to access.
Using the user’s existing profile prevents duplicate email address or contact method errors and allows them to access multiple On Call Central accounts with a single login.
If you are still unable to add the user, please contact On Call Central Support and we’ll be happy to help.
