When the primary provider assigned to a shift does not adequately respond to a call, the backup provider will be contacted.
Assigning a backup provider is very similar to assigning the primary provider. However, in order to assign a backup, a primary provider must already exist on the desired day on the calendar.
When you drag a second name from the list on the left onto a day that already contains a provider, this person is displayed in light gray and becomes the backup provider.
If you drag a third name onto a day, the backup provider will be replaced. The primary provider will remain the same.
