Texting is fast, simple, and convenient. If it were available, some providers might choose to utilize this feature to quickly respond to an incoming patient message. On Call Central does not currently have an option that allows physicians to text their patients back through our software. However, development of this feature is on our radar. We are exploring ways in which provider-patient contact can be HIPAA compliant and in which protected health information remains secure by encryption.
